Description: | There is no such thing as a Quintuple IPA. Great, now that that is out of the way: This American Strong Ale pours a deep amber with tight fluffy off white head. Hop aromatics are subtle under more prevelant sweet toffee malt and yeast esters. The flavor is immediately complex. Initial tastes at proper draft temperature of 36-48 degrees will yield a more Imperial IPA like flavor with strong pine balanced up against sticky sweet caramel malt. Let this one warm to truly enjoy the extra fermentable sugar and yeast used to brew. The yeasts add a unique lightness once warmed as the beer has a medium high carbonation. Look for flavors of peach, pear skin, paypaya, clove and white pepper. A strong Belgian tripel like thread of candi sugar and pepper lingers on the finish along with warming alcohol. 13% ABV | |
