Labeled as Quadruple IPA, this beer is every bit the titan you would expect, though adeptly balanced, and surprisingly drinkable. Glowing copper in color, this IPA produces a pungent evergreen aroma, countered by a rich malt sweetness, reminiscent of a honey-glazed pastry. The flavors are more of the same, with grapefruit rind and alcohol noticeable, as well as a very subtle mintiness in the finish. At 13.2% abv, this beer has a pleasant warming effect that makes it especially desirable during the colder months.
