⌂ > Firestone Walker x Russian River Stivo

This beer was brewed in collaboration with Russian River.  "Stivo" is a mash-up of the names Russian River STS Pils and Firestone Walker Pivo Pils.  Brewed for the 2016 Firestone Invitational, this beer combines the characteristics of both beers into one great lager.  Pours a hazy light gold thanks to the lack of filtering.  The effervescent nose has a bright pine and floral note but thanks to the new school european hops, lacks the earthy perfume character common in many traditional pilsners.  The body has a medium heft and a soft sourdough bread malt charater slightly bigger than one might expect.  Despite this the beer finishes crisp and clean on the palate.
