| Description: | One of the latest beers from Avery's stellar Barrel-Aged Series, this beer (translated means 'Joined Forces') is a blend of 50% ale aged in tequila barrels and 50% ale aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. Pours a beautiful, deep burgandy hue, with bright, orange highlights. On the nose, the Cabernet barrel character is the most apparent, with notes of vinous fruits, oak, and a lightly musky funk. The beer's flavor is complex- with fruity notes of raspberry, black cherry, and lime, as well as oak and leather. These flavors are complemented with a perfectly sharp, acidic bite. Feels prickly on the palate, despite being lightly carbonated. Finishes dry with a slight, tannic finish. An excellent, complex sour. 5.4% ABV | |
