| Description: | This classic style Czech pils pours a vibrant, clear light straw color. The aroma is of fresh bread dough cut with mild hoppy aromas. Subtle hints of sweetness, maybe a trace of banana. The taste follows nicely from the nose. The bready character is again the star of the show, however the slightly beefed-up traditional hops (Hallertau, Saaz) really add an extra dimension of depth without dominating the palate. It achieves a fine, subtle balance between slightly sweet & pleasantly bitter. The mid palate features more of the banana character, along with a trace of black pepper. Finishes with a gradually-increasing (though never overwhelming) bitterness. This brew has a light malty body and finishes crisp & clean. | |
